We at Bí Urban are dedicated to protecting your privacy at all times. In compliance with GDPR regulations we have compiled the below information to ensure full transparency around what data we collect and when and why we collect it.

What is this site for?

This website is a hub for information on & announcements about Bí Urban. The site and it’s contents were designed, curated and are maintained by Bí Urban.

For buying tickets or signing up to our mailing list, we use Eventbrite & Mailchimp as our processors. If following a link to an external site, keep in mind Bí Urban is not responsible for the privacy policies of websites that it does not control or operate.

What information do we collect?

We use the information we collect about you to help administer our business and the services we provide to you in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of 2018.

We collect data about you when you contact us, subscribe to our mailing list or book tickets in order to keep contact with you. We also use cookies on our website that allow us to gather basic technical information about visitors to our website.

It is our policy never to share your information to any third party other than those data processors engaged by us to provide the services as outlined in this privacy policy.

Data Protection law recognises that certain categories of personal information are more sensitive such as health data, biometric data, genetic data, sexual orientation and religious beliefs. We do not collect this type of information about our visitors.

We take privacy seriously and endeavour to be as open as possible in terms of how your information is used. We will never sell your information or disclose it to external parties unless obliged to by the rule of law.

How we process the information you give us

Mailing List

When you subscribe to our volunteer or general mailing list, we collect data on your First name, Last name and email. Once you opt-in to our mailing list, this information is stored by our service provider Mailchimp & is used in order to contact you. You can unsubscribe from our mailing service at any time at the bottom of each mail, or alternatively by contacting us.

Ticket Purchase

To purchase tickets for our workshops & events, we use our ticket service provider Eventbrite. When you buy tickets we keep information on your name & ticket number, so as to keep a record of your purchase. We will keep this information for no longer than 3 years, and we can erase this information sooner if required. Any credit card payments made online are processed securely by Eventbrite. Any ticket purchases made over the phone are securely processed by SumUp, our digital monetary transactions service. Your details are input using portals provided by, processed and retained by these third-parties purely for the purpose of completing that transaction. Credit card details are not stored or accessible to Bí Urban once processed.

Your online interactions with us

When you visit our website, we collect information about how you interact with our content to see where we can improve on site design & update our information to be more accessible to you. When we send you an e-newsletter we store a record of this, and in the case of emails we keep a record of which ones you have opened and which links you interacted with.

Video & Images

Bí Urban occasionally take photographs & video footage during workshops & events on-site. On these rare events the participants will be informed beforehand but it is up to the individual to inform our staff if there is an issue. If an individual is asked to pose for a photograph they will be asked for their consent by the photographer and informed what the image may be used for.

Photographs will be used for the Bí Urban’s website, social media networks and other promotion purposes unless otherwise stated.
